Butler’s Jews and Their Neighbors is a program featuring slides and a historical perspective on the many facets of Jewish life in Butler.

The program — presented by Eric Lidji, director of the Rauh Jewish Archives at the Heinz History Center — is 6 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at Butler Area Public Library, 218 N. McKean Street, Butler.

The program is the first of three in a series called Grounded in Community: Jewish Stories from Western PA. The series, created by the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh and the Rauh Jewish Archives, is hosted by Butler Area Public Library as part of a yearlong library program focused on Yiddish culture and literature.

Lidji said the program will introduce attendees to well-known and lesser-known stories from the history of the Jewish communities of Butler County.
