Police: Butler man sends nude photo to teen
A Butler man is accused of sending a photo of his genitalia to a teenage girl.
Dakota Lee Anthony, 25, was charged Tuesday, March 17, by Butler police with one felony count each of criminal solicitation, unlawful contact with a minor, disseminating explicit photos and criminal use of a communication facility; and one misdemeanor count each of corruption of minors and open lewdness following an investigation.
Police said on Jan. 5, 2025, the father of a 14-year-old girl reported his daughter had received a photo of a man’s genitals from Anthony.
His daughter met Anthony Dec. 26 or 27 during karaoke night at The 11th Frame, police said. The two began texting two days later.
Police said on Dec. 28, 2025, while the girl and her father were at a party, she had gone to lie down because she didn’t feel well. Her father went to check on her and found her texting a contact named “best friend.” The two had also recently been on a phone call.
The father scrolled through the messages and found the alleged photo, police said.
In a March 2 interview, the girl told police Anthony said she “looked way older than 14” and attempted to get her to come to his house “so he could show her what sex was,” police said.
According to police, the girl told him again she was 14 and told him not to send a photo of his genitalia because “her parents would find out.”
Anthony’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. March 30 before District Judge William Fullerton. He’s being held in Butler County Prison on $15,000 bail.
