Marjorie J. “Peg” Campbell
Marjorie J. “Peg” Campbell, 87, of Wexford, formerly of Butler, passed away Tuesday at the Wexford Health Care Center.
She was born March 3, 1928, in Altoona, Pa., to the late William R. Jones and Catherine B. (Batcheler) Jones.
Mrs. Campbell was a graduate of Altoona High School. She then went on and received her master's degree in education from Penn State University.
Mrs. Campbell taught third grade for more than 30 years at Center Township School in Butler.
She was a member of the Century Club, NEA, and she volunteered at the Butler County Humane Society. Mrs. Campbell enjoyed fishing, reading and her pets. She attended Bakerstown United Methodist Church in Gibsonia.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by one daughter, Cathy L. McHugh and her husband, Robert G. “Bob,” of Wexford; two grandsons, Dr. Brian C. McHugh and his fiancee, Andrea, and Sean R. McHugh and his wife, Cassandra, both of Pittsburgh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. “Bud” Campbell, who she married Nov. 17, 1950, and who passed away July 20, 2005.
CAMPBELL — There will be no public visitation for Marjorie J. “Peg” Campbell, who died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015.A committal service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the mausoleum at the Butler County Memorial Park, 380 Evans City Road, Butler, with the Rev.
