Police: Butler woman to be charged in wrong-way crash along Fort Duquesne Bridge
After a wrong-way crash on the Fort Duquesne Bridge in Pittsburgh, a Butler woman fled on foot, according to state police.
Lindsay K. Kleeman, 41, of Butler, is to be charged in relation to the Saturday morning, March 14, crash.
According to police, Kleeman was driving the wrong direction on the Fort Duquesne Bridge on I-279 around 6:30 a.m. when she collided with the vehicles of Chaquan K. Jackie, 33, of Pittsburgh, and Emily E. Beres, 27, of Monaca.
Police said Beres sustained an injury of unknown severity and was taken to Allegheny General Hospital.
Kleeman fled and was later apprehended by Pittsburgh police near the 31st Street Bridge. Police said she was taken into custody six to seven hours following the collision.
In a Sunday crash report, police indicated Kleeman would be charged with a traffic offense, and Jackie would be charged with DUI. Charges were not yet filed Tuesday morning.
