Club hockey team featuring Butler County players heading to national tournament
The Armstrong Arrows 18U hockey team will compete in the USA Hockey National Championship Tournament. The team consists of players from several school districts: Butler's Anthony Trombatt, Brayden Hardsock and Seamus Griffith, Freeport's Landon Kozma; Seneca Valley's Leyton Moreau, Owen Martin, Carter Hoehn and Chris Nichols; Armstrong's Aiden Morando, Jake Graff, Jason Rullo, Jonas Miller and Colin Kutch; Central Catholic's Dante Albanese and Gavin Watson; Montour's Ethan Buranovsky; Neshannock's Tripp Johns; Shaler's Matthew Stelitano and Jacob Skerlong; and Union's Ian Morganti. A club hockey team consisting of players from various school districts, including Butler, Seneca Valley and Freeport, will be competing at the end of March in a national tournament.
The Armstrong Arrows 18U team will compete in Tier II at the USA Hockey National Championships in West Chester, Pa., March 25-29. The team went 49-4-4 during the club season.
Butler County players on the team include: Anthony Trombatt (Butler), Brayden Hardsock (Butler), Seamus Griffith (Butler), Landon Kozma (Freeport), Leyton Moreau (Seneca Valley), Owen Martin (Seneca Valley), Carter Hoehn (Seneca Valley) and Chris Nichols (Seneca Valley).
