Valencia man charged with failing to update Megan’s Law registration
A Valencia man registered under Megan’s Law faces felony charges after failing to report a new address or place of employment to police.
Richard Kratsas, 63, was registered on the Megan’s Law website due to a 2006 conviction of lascivious battery of a minor in Florida.
He was charged March 2 with two felony counts each of failing to register with state police and failing to verify his address.
Police said they went to his registered address and spoke to a woman who said she had not heard from Kratsas since Dec. 28. Kratsas also has an arrest warrant for simple assault regarding a domestic disturbance that happened that day.
Police also spoke to his last registered employer and a temp agency he worked with, but neither had heard from him since December.
Kratsas last updated his registration on Nov. 4, 2025.
His preliminary hearing has yet to be set.
