The Johnstons in 1976

Susie and Timothy Johnston, of Renfrew, will celebrate 50 years of marriage on Feb. 28, with a private family gathering.

Lifelong residents of Butler, they are both graduates of Butler High School.

Johnston married the former Susie McMillin on Feb. 28, 1976, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, in Connoquenessing.

They have two children, Sarah Johnston Hancher and Molly Johnston Brunner.

The Johnstons also have five grandchildren, Madeleine and Charlotte Hancher, and Abigail, Bennett and Margaret Brunner.
