Jean J. Borcz
Jean J. Borcz, 88, of Forest Hills, formerly of Mount Chestnut, passed away Wednesday in Magee Women's Hospital of UPMC in Pittsburgh, following an illness.
Born Dec. 14, 1929, in Lancaster Township, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Aniela Kolano Borcz.
She retired from the Sunnyview Home, where she worked as a laundress. Previously, she had worked at the former Boyer's Market and her family's former Borcz's Grocery Store.
She belonged to the local grange, and enjoyed embroidery and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine (Robert) Metil of Squirrel Hill; her granddaughter, Andrea Metil of Cincinnati, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, George Ciesla, Mary Lehan, John Borcz, Andrew Borcz and Joseph Borcz.
BORCZ — Visitation for Jean J. Borcz, who died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.
