More than 25 grams of controlled substances seized from Butler home

At least 4 men charged after search warrant executed

At least four men were charged with controlled substance distribution crimes after police seized more than 25 grams of substances from a Ninth Street home Sunday, Feb. 22, in Butler.

Robby Lee Dunbar Jr., 34, of Butler; Taylor Robert Sharkey, 35, of McKees Rocks; William John Shaw, 36, and James Hanif Rooks, 44, were charged Sunday by Butler police with two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, felony criminal conspiracy and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession following the search warrant execution.

Dunbar, Shaw and Sharkey were additionally charged with two misdemeanor counts of controlled substance possession. Rooks was additionally charged with two misdemeanor counts of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, according to court documents.

Police said they found unofficial weights of 17.9 grams of crack cocaine, 3.9 grams of powder cocaine, two bags of suspected methamphetamine and two vials of testosterone inside the home at 104 S. Ninth St.

The four men have preliminary hearings scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, March 2, before District Judge William Fullerton.

An Ohio man was also named as a co-defendant, but no charges were filed against him Monday.
