Police: Man assaults nurse at BMH
A Butler man is accused of assaulting a Butler Memorial Hospital nurse.
Timothy Jack Butler, 31, was charged Monday, Feb. 23, by Butler Township police with felony aggravated assault and one misdemeanor count each of simple assault and disorderly conduct following an incident Saturday.
Police said the nurse was attempting to keep the left side of Butler’s body still while he was restrained. Butler was able to free his hands, punch the nurse twice in the face and elbow him in the head.
Police said Butler also tried to bite the nurse but was unsuccessful.
The nurse’s head was swollen on the right side but did not require medical attention, police said.
Butler’s preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
