My dear friend Ren where do I begin
I know that all good things must come to an end
Your time here on earth was far too brief
Like the fast changing colors of an autumn leaf
But now I know my dear friend Ren
That nine years ago was not really the end
Because thru our Father who is seated in Heaven
We will soon hear the trumpets play yes all seven
Together when we walk the roads paved in gold
All of these sorrows will become distant and old
But for now we will just grieve and reminisce
And try to figure out why you had to miss all of this
Oh my dear friend Ren here is how I will begin
We miss you and love you my brother day out and day in
For until we can someday meet again
Please know that here on earth you are still adored
Who will ever forget your old green Ford
You know it seems like only yesterday
That Hock, Ren and Flinn were heading back from Cal’s again
We will reunite someday on our own accord
I wish to be seated with you right next to our Lord
You were one of a kind and a true best friend
It gives me peace to know that I shall see you again
I miss you and love you my dear friend Ren
