Knoch grad Gross sparks GCC, 31-16

Knoch High School product Zach Gross completed seven of eight passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns and added a rushing score in the Grove City College football team's 31-16 win at Westminster on Saturday.

Also contributing to the victory, Mars High graduate Shane Kaclik had two carries for 30 yards and Slippery Rock product Craig Bicehouse booted a 31-yard field goal and four extra points for the Wolverines (2-1, 1-0).

David Moore and Zach Hall scored their first career goals for Slippery Rock University in a 2-0 defeat of host East Stroudsburg.Greg Blum made six saves in the win for Slippery Rock (5-1-1, 3-1).

SRU junior Kaylee Smith collected 25 kills and 24 digs in victories over East Stroudsburg (3-0) and Shippensburg (3-1).The Rock improved to 5-7 with the wins.
