2026 WPIAL boys basketball tournament brackets announced: See Knoch, Seneca Valley, Mars, North Catholic opponents
A Knoch-North Catholic Part 3 will have to wait a few rounds.
But if it happens, it’ll set the stage for the WPIAL Class 4A boys basketball championship game.
The WPIAL announced its district tournament brackets Monday afternoon, and five Butler County teams now know their opening matchups.
The local headliners are the Knights, who earned the No. 3 seed and will host West Allegheny in the first round Friday, and the No. 2 Trojans, who have a bye. Should North and Knoch win out, they will face each other for a third time this season in the semis with a berth in the PIAA tournament already in hand. The section rivals split their regular-season series and shared the section title.
The district championship games will be held at Petersen Events Center at times to be determined.
Seneca Valley (6A), Mars (5A) and Summit Academy (1A) also qualified.
