Diane Troutman

Diane S. Troutman, 64, of Emlenton went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on Jan. 5, 1948, in Kittanning, Diane was the daughter of the late Dale C. and Grace Lucille Toy Long.

Diane was a 1965 graduate of Kittanning High School and graduated from Indiana (Pa.) University with a bachelor of science degree in music education in 1979. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.

She was married in Kittanning on April 6, 1968, to Duane G. Troutman, who survives.

Diane had been a member of the First Church of God in Kittanning and was currently a member of the Liberty Street Church of God in Clarion. Diane was the worship leader for three years and the church's state youth choir director for 13 years. She also directed the children's Christmas programs.

Diane served on the youth council and board of directors of the Whitehall Church of God campground. She was instrumental in planning Whitehall's playground project and making sure it was safe for the children.

She taught music in the Armstrong County School District for 25 years, teaching in both East Brady and Ford City. She held memberships in the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association.

Mrs. Troutman enjoyed decorating, crafts and Corvette cruises.

In addition to her husband, Diane is survived by a daughter, Marcy L. Guess and her husband, Rev. David E. Jr., of Minerva, Ohio; a son, Mark A. Troutman and his fiancée, Sherri Peat, of Worthington; nine grandchildren, Rebekah G. “Bekah” Guess, David E. Guess III, Jonathon A. Guess, Christian Joy “C.J.” Guess, Chelsea N. Troutman, Cory P. Troutman, Jocelyn R. Troutman, Haley D. Troutman and Hannah G. Flick; two brothers, Robert D. Long and his wife, Frances, of Vandergrift and David C. Long of Greenfield, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Beverly Long of Worthington; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by two brothers, George D. and Charles N. Long.

TROUTMAN — Friends of Diane S. Troutman, who passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, will be received at the First Church of God in Kittanning, 629 Woodward Ave., from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. David Guess, Mrs. Troutman's son-in-law and pastor of the Great Trail Community Church of God of Minerva, Ohio, officiating.Friends also will be received at the Liberty Street Church of God in Clarion from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Bruce Wilson officiating.Memorial contributions in Mrs. Troutman's memory may be made to the Whitehall Camp Fund A, 580 Whitehall Road, Emlenton, PA 16373.Funeral arrangements were completed by the Hile Funeral Home, Emlenton.
