PITTSBURGH — Minor flooding is expected in some low-lying areas of Pittsburgh and surrounding communities as rains are expected to swell the region's three rivers.

The Mon Wharf parking lot along the Monongahela River and the riverfront areas of the Allegheny and Ohio rivers near PNC Park and Heinz Field are expected to flood by this evening.

The Ohio River is expected to crest above 20 feet on Thanksgiving. That's high enough to flood the lower areas with at least a foot of water. The Mon Wharf parking lot was closed Tuesday as a precaution.

As much as two inches of rain is forecast for parts of Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia through today.

FRANKLIN — State police have jailed two 18-year-old men on arson charges after they were found hiding in the crawl space of the burning building where a firefighter was injured.Troopers from the Franklin barracks allege that Logan Page, of Sandy Lake, and Brandon Auker, of Jackson Center, set the fire at the unoccupied building in Franklin on Monday afternoon.A firefighter whose name has not been released was taken to UPMC Northwest hospital in Seneca for injuries he suffered when stairs collapsed causing him to fall. The extent of his injuries was not known.
