Saint Gregory school celebrating 115th anniversary
Bishop Emeritus David Zubik will celebrate a special Mass on Friday, Jan. 30, to mark the 115th anniversary of Saint Gregory Catholic School, 2 W. Beaver St. in Zelienople.
Founded in January 1911, the school enrolls students in preschool and grades K through eight. Students of the school come from Allegheny, Beaver, Butler and Lawrence counties, and from eight Catholic parishes, including Divine Grace Parish, as well as students of other faiths.
The Mass will take place at 1 p.m., and at 7 p.m. Saint Gregory Church, part of Divine Grace Parish, will dedicate its century-old, restored organ and pipes with a free concert, led by organists from Western Pennsylvania, including the parish's former coordinator of music ministries, Jon Zellhart.
Anyone is welcome to attend the anniversary events.
