April Lynn Hilgar
April Lynn Hilgar, 48, of Slippery Rock died Thursday at the Grove City Medical Center after a long illness.
She was born June 26, 1959, in Grove City, the daughter of Donald M. and Gladys P. Duncan Hilgar.
Miss Hilgar was the former assistant manager at the Slippery Rock State Liquor Control Board store and an employee at the Slippery Rock branch of the U.S. Post Office.
She was a member of the Slippery Rock United Methodist Church. She enjoyed antiquing, gardening, reading, doing needlework and traveling.
She is survived by her parents of Slippery Rock, her brother, Gary M. Hilgar and his wife, Joanna, of Morgantown, W.Va., and a niece, Lisa Hilgar, of Morgantown.
<B>HILGAR — </B>Friends of April Lynn Hilgar, who died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday at the <B>SMITH FUNERAL HOME</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Pamela Gardner, pastor of Slippery Rock United Methodist, officiating.
