Emerson J. Miller, 86, of West Deer Township died Thursday while under the care of Fosnight of Valencia Nursing Home, Richland Township.

Born March 20, 1921, he was the son of Edward and Alice Shimpeno Miller.

He had been a truck driver for Tesone Trucking, T.J. Hopper and Critchlow Lumber.

He was the loving father of Darrell Miller of West Deer Township and Darlene (Tom) Long of Richland Township; dear brother of Vernon, Donald and Kenneth Miller, Marilyn Binkley and Gerald and Delbert Miller.

He was the beloved husband of 59 years of Mary C. Eurich Miller, who he married Aug. 29, 1947, and the dear brother of the late Wilbur Miller, Virginia Cassol and Judith Miller.

Miller, who died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. today at <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home and Cremation Services</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown with the Rev. Paul Becker Jr. officiating.
