Slippery Rock sees string of thefts from vehicles
Slippery Rock borough police warned the community late this week of a string of thefts from vehicles.
The department, in a Thursday, Jan. 15, Facebook post, advised residents to lock their vehicles and remove any valuables such as purses, wallets, money, electronics and firearms.
The department also requested any residents with security cameras to report any suspicious activity and to watch for people late at night walking on private property or trying door handles.
“A seemingly harmless video to some could be a huge help to us,” the department said.
The department also posted security footage showing a person dressed in all black at night approaching a vehicle and trying to open it. Police are attempting to identify the person in the video.
Anyone with information is requested to call borough police at 724-794-6388.
