Lincoln Park Producing ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’

Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Midland will stage “The Importance of Being Earnest” for nine performances Feb. 13 through 22.

With its razor-sharp wit, story of tangled identities and satire of social expectations, Oscar Wilde’s “Earnest“ remains a comedy of manners. It is a joyful reminder that laughter, cleverness and absurdity are timeless. The center’s cast brings these words to life with precision and playfulness, according to a news release from Lincoln Park.

“Whether this is your first time seeing ‘Earnest’ or your 10th, prepare to laugh and enjoy one of the most produced comedies of all time,” said Justin Fortunato, producing artistic director for Lincoln Park.

“The Importance of Being Earnest” plays at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21, and at 2 p.m. on Feb. 14, 15, 21 and 22 at the BlackBox Theater, 1 Lincoln Park, Midland. Tickets are available by visiting LincolnParkArts.org or by calling 724-576-4644.
