Valent V. Rabovsky
Valent V. Rabovsky, 88, of Jackson Township passed away peacefully on Friday at his home.
Born Feb. 1, 1924, in Ambridge, he was the son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Jenca) Rabovsky.
Mr. Rabovsky was a member of Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, Zelienople. He enjoyed going to the Cranberry Township YMCA daily and was affectionately known as the “mayor of the Y.”
Mr. Rabovsky attended the University of Idaho as a cadet and then entered the U.S. Army, where he served his country during World War II in the Army infantry.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Knoechel Rabovsky, who he married Aug. 10, 1950; two daughters, Lynn (Chad) Dobrick of Zelienople and Joyce Rabovsky of Jackson Township; one son, Jeff Rabovsky of Reston, Va.; one brother, Albert Rabovsky of Ambridge; and his two cherished grandchildren, Brett and Elyse Dobrick.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.

Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Zelienople, with the Rev. John K.
