Good Samaritan Hospice launches weekly grief group
Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia, will host a free weekly grief support group from 1 to 2:30 p.m. every Thursday between Jan. 29 and March 26, 2026, at the South Butler Community Library, 240 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
The group will be led by John Porter, bereavement coordinator for Good Samaritan. Meetings will focus on aspects of grief in “a safe and respected space,” a release from Concordia said.
“Many people find that learning more about grief, connecting with others and listening to other people’s stories helps them feel comforted on their grief journey,” the release continued.
Registration is required by Jan. 20. Those interested in more information or signing up can reach Good Samaritan’s bereavement team at 724 898-0126, ext. 4426.
