Edward James Cunningham, 76, of Cranberry Township passed away on Thursday.

Born July 7, 1939, in Bellevue, he was the son of the late John and Sarah (McLaughlin) Cunningham.

Ed was a salesman at Airtex Automotive, owned and operated Deshon Auto Parts in Butler and worked at Baierl Chevrolet.

He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1957 to 1959. He was a car enthusiast and loved animals.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Claudia Cunningham, who he married on May 27, 1961; his five children, Mark Cunningham of Economy Borough, Celeste (Kevin) Antill of Butler, John (Kim) Cunningham of Center Valley, Paul (Trish) Cunningham of Economy Borough and Cynthia Cunningham of Cranberry Township; nine grandchildren, Tony, Taylor, Brooke, Logan, Brooks, Roman, Jed, Lindsay and Camille; and two great-grandchildren, Brielle and Kieryn.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Catherine Cunningham.
