The South Butler Community Library is having a fundraiser through Jan. 15 to support its mission of building community connections and providing tools for lifelong learning.

A post from South Butler Community Library’s website said its success depends on the support of all community members, library visitors, volunteers, donors and program partners.

While it receives funding from the state, six local municipalities and its Friends of the Library group, the library board and staff must fundraise for 30% of its budget each year.

The library’s goal is to raise $32,000 by Jan. 15. PennEnergy Resources is matching the first $7,500 of community donations to the library.
