Raymond Campbell
Raymond “Ray” Campbell, 80, of Boyers passed away at 3:19 a.m. Monday at Orchard Manor following a short illness.
Ray was born May 17, 1934, in Hilliards. He was the son of the late Ralph Myers Campbell and the late Edna Mae Follsteadt Campbell. Ray was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by three sisters and eight brothers.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served on the USS Gurke during the Korean War.
Ray retired from Cooper Energy in Grove City after 39 years and 11 months of service.
He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.
Ray is survived by his wife, Sylvia “Jake” Severino Campbell, who he married Aug. 17, 1956; two daughters, Carol (Arnie) Trufley of Boyers and Drema (Billy) Gress of Branchton; one son, Michael (Diane) Campbell of Hilliards; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
CAMPBELL — The family of Raymond “Ray” Campbell, who died Monday, April 6, 2015, will receive friends at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev.
