Police: East Brady man causes 2 crashes in 3 miles

Crime DME

An East Brady man is accused of causing two crashes within three miles Monday, Dec. 29, in Donegal Township.

Police said Keith David Cashmere, 38, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of accidents involving damage and misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol following the two crashes.

Police said Cashmere was driving a Honda CRV east on Route 68 when he went into the oncoming lane to pass a vehicle. Police said while attempting to pass, Cashmere sideswiped a vehicle and continued driving.

Police said Cashmere traveled about three miles and turned onto Gameland Road, where he struck another vehicle waiting at the stop sign. According to police, Cashmere attempted to leave the scene.

Cashmere told police at the scene he didn’t know he hit another vehicle and was not trying to flee the scene. Police said Cashmere showed signs of impairment but refused testing.

Cashmere’s preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
