Starr J. (Bradley) Mikan

Starr J. (Bradley) Mikan, 72, of Monroeville passed away Tuesday at her home with her family by her side.

Starr was born on March 17, 1944, in Lake Placid, N.Y., the daughter of the late John and Genevieve (Sears) Bradley.

Starr was a retired real estate agent for REMAX Realty.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother who deeply treasured her grandchildren. She possessed generosity of spirit, always giving to and caring for others.

Starr was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 37 years, John C. Mikan, in 2015, and her siblings, Eleanor Filey, Tony Bradley and Cindy Smith.

Starr is survived by her children, Dean Matis (Carol Michel) of Butler and Melissa Matis of Monroeville; her grandchildren, Adam Matis (Chelsea), Nathaniel Matis, Marissa Matis and Caleb Matis; her siblings, Linda Renfro of Lake Placid, George Bradley (Michelle) of Marcellus, N.Y., and Terrie Latimer of Messena, N.Y.; and her beloved dog, Skippy.

MIKAN — Family and friends of Starr J. (Bradley) Mikan, who died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home, 702 Seventh St., State Route 130, Trafford, Pa. Parting prayers will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Regis Church with the Rev. David Nazimek as celebrant.
