MARS — Council members approved several things Monday night, including:
- Accepting a renewal of the UPMC gold health care plan for existing, full-time employees, with the opportunity for employees to upgrade their coverage at their own expense
- Purchasing UPMC group health care plans for part-time borough employees working at least 20 hours a week, with all expenses being covered by the employee
- Appointing Andy Schultheis to a five-year term as a borough representative on the Breakneck Creel Regional Authority Board
- Moving $48,491 in CARES Act funding into the PLGIT reserve fund
- Retroactively affirming an email vote taken to approve closing Pittsburgh Street and Grand Avenue to Clark Street for a car show Oct. 18
- Moving $43,403 from the liquid fuels account to the general fund for paving projects
- Authorizing a borough employee to take a backhoe to an equipment show event at Agway from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Council met in executive session after the meeting for matters of personnel and discussion of future real estate transactions.
