John A. Hanford Sr.
John A. Hanford Sr., 57, of Iowa died Wednesday at his home.
He was born in Pittsburgh, the son of Jack and Mary Ann Novak Hanford.
He was with the Castle Rubber Co. in Butler for 25 years before moving to Iowa in 1995.
He was proud to be involved with the water treatment in Iowa, and Grand Island, Neb.
He also was a proud Vietnam veteran who loved his country.
Mr. Hanford's passion in life was for his family, and he enjoyed hunting and riding on his Harley and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Vickie Hanford; a son, John A. Hanford Jr.; a daughter, Tina M. Holmes; three grandchildren; a brother, Brad, and sister, Debbie Morales.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
<B>HANFORD</B> — A memorial service for John A. Hanford, who died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at <B>Iles Funeral Homes-Grandview Chapel</B>, Des Moines, Iowa.
