Cranberry Rotary recognizes students of the month for November and December

Rotary Club of Cranberry Township — Sunrise recently honored students from Rowan Elementary School as the November and December Students of the Month.

The Rotary club has been honoring the Student of the Month at Rowan Elementary since 2008. To date, the program has recognized more than 157 fourth-grade students who exemplify the Rotary motto of “Service above Self,” according to a news release from the club.

Students were recognized at a celebration breakfast on Thursday, Dec. 11, which included parents, siblings, grandparents, school administrators, teachers, faculty and Rotarians. Each student received an award certificate, and their names are placed on an award placard displayed in the school.
