Knoch boys basketball puts away Highlands; Moniteau girls fall to Brookville: Roundup
Teegan Finucan (15 points), Roman DeFelice (14), Liam Avon (12) and Vincent DeFelice (10) each poured in double-digits for Knoch Friday night as it downed Highlands 58-37 on the road.
The Knights move to 3-0 in boys basketball section play and take on non-section foe Kiski Area at LaRoche College on Saturday.
Lakeview 58, Slippery Rock 52 — Despite 11 points from both Fred Campagna and Connor Zorn, the Rockets fell short. The Rockets were left behind in the second frame as the hosts outscored them 22-15 in that quarter.
Archbishop McNicholas (Ohio) 78, North Catholic 54 — Jason Fredericks led the Trojans (5-2) with 19 points during this contest at the Queen City Classic in Cincinnati, while Jude Rottmann added another 14.
North Catholic travels to Youngstown to take on Ursuline on Tuesday.

Moniteau’s Charlotte Thompson came up just short of a double-double, bucketing nine points and ripping down 11 rebounds, but the Warriors fell to Brookville 50-33 in girls basketball action on Friday night.
Maddy Eury followed for Moniteau with eight points.
