Comfort at Christmas, a prayer and carol service for those experiencing grief and loss, will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St. in Saxonburg.

The evening will include Scriptural words of comfort, music and candle lighting. The service is open to the public, and it will be livestreamed online. There will be a small reception after the service.

Christmas Eve services will take place at 4, 7 and 10 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
