Anne M. Simandl
Anne M. Simandl, 93, of Valencia, passed away Oct. 25, 2021.
Born July 7, 1928, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Berneiser Worst.
She was the beloved wife of the late William O. Simandl.
She was also preceded in death by six sisters and seven brothers.
She was the loving mother of Carol Simandl, Nancy (Greg) Cuckler and the late William Simandl.
She was the dear grandmother of Jason (Dana) Cuckler, Craig (Margie) Cuckler and Kimberly (Ryan) Dunbar; and the great-grandmother of Aiden, Greyson, Amelia and Penelope.
Anne was a longtime and devoted parishioner at Holy Sepulcher Church, where she was active with Smiling Seniors, the annual bazaar, Lenten fish fries, and making of rosaries for children and missionary ministries.
She loved to bake and was known for making wedding and birthday cakes for countless friends and family members over the years.
Anne loved her garden and flowers, especially her roses and orchids. A woman of many talents, she was a gifted seamstress, who created many special occasion dresses and gowns, also for friends and family.
In recent years, Anne especially cared for her beloved late husband, Bill; and loving daughter, Carol.
She will be dearly missed.
SIMANDL — A private blessing service for Anne M. Simandl, who died Monday, Oct. 25, 2021, will be held with interment to follow in Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery.
Family and friends will be invited to a memorial Mass of Christian burial at a future date at Holy Sepulcher Church.
