Dorothy Margaret (Maxwell) Burnside, 79, of Butler passed away Saturday evening at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Aug. 12, 1933, in Summit Township, and was the daughter of the late Sherwood Y. and Ruth Thompson Maxwell.

Dorothy enjoyed time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Edward (Nora) Burnside of New Castle; her daughter, Judith (Lester) Klingensmith of Butler; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Barbara (Mike) McCracken of Butler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dale Burnside; two brothers, Sherwood L. Maxwell and George Maxwell; and her sister, Shirley Maxwell.
