CRANBERRY TWP — Township police arrested a woman Saturday afternoon who allegedly threatened a fire police officer, while holding a gun.

Dana L. Schesventer, 34, of Ravenna, Ohio, was arrested and placed in Butler County Prison on $7,500 bail following the incident that happened along Route 19 at the on-ramp for the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

The Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company, including the fire police, were assisting state police with traffic control and cleanup from a double-fatal accident on the westbound portion of the Turnpike.

Schesventer allegedly got into a verbal argument with fire police officer James Robinson, the unit’s captain, who was blocking all traffic from getting onto the Turnpike from Route 19, according to the criminal complaint.

As Schesventer, who was driving a black pickup truck, started to pull away, Robinson allegedly kicked the back corner of her truck, leaving a scuff mark. She proceeded, allegedly, to pull over, get out of the truck and walk toward Robinson while holding a pistol at her side and yelling obscenities. Robinson told police that she made threatening remarks, including saying that she would “take him on.”

Police also interviewed a motorist, who had called 911 and reported witnessing threatening and aggressive behavior from Schesventer.

When the officer arrived at the scene, Schesventer complied with requests to turn over the gun, a loaded .45-caliber pistol. She did possess a valid concealed carry permit from Ohio.

She faces misdemeanor terroristic threats and disorderly conduct charges and is set to have a preliminary hearing in Cranberry district court Friday.
