Douglas L. Evans

Douglas L. Evans, 57, of Cranberry Township passed away Wednesday while under the care of Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights.

Born July 15, 1955, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Leonard and A. LaVerne (Murk) Evans.

Doug was a member of both St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township and St. Kilian Parish in Mars. He was the current manager who devoted himself to the St. Kilian Parish softball blue team and was the former commissioner of the ICCS league.

Doug was a proud performer at the Comtra Theater in Cranberry Township, where he showcased his acting and vocal skills. During his youth, he belonged to numerous bands, always fronting as the lead singer. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory the love of his life for 32 years, Claudia (Majersky) Evans who he married on Oct. 6, 1979; his two loving sons, Ed Evans of Monaca and Rick Evans and his wife, Staci, of Mars; his brother, David M. Evans and his wife, Tammy, of Zelienople; his five precious grandchildren, Taylor, Tyler, Eddie Jr., Alex and Brandon; his mother-in-law, Rita Majersky of Lebanon, Pa.; his brother-in-law, Jeffery Majersky of Annville, Pa.; his sister-in-law, Toni Carr and her husband, Wallace, of Lebanon, Pa.; his two godchildren, Jessica Stintzi and Gavin Evans; and two nephews, Garrett and Grant Evans.

EVANS — The family of Douglas L. Evans, who died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, welcomes friends to gather from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township, where a memorial service will be celebrated at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Charles S.
