A house along Eakin Road in Venango Township is likely a total loss following a chimney fire Friday morning, Dec. 5.

The fire, reported at 193 Eakin Road at about 10:30 a.m., quickly prompted area fire departments to call for additional assistance via second and third alarms.

The second alarm requested shortly after 10:40 a.m., and a third alarm was requested for even more assistance at 10:50 a.m.

Heavy smoke could be seen in the area.

No injuries were reported following the fire. All occupants, including pets, evacuated successfully, according to an official at the scene.
