Spangler saves 8th for Sox
QUINCY, Ill. — Zach Spangler, a Seneca Valley graduate, notched his Prospect League-leading eighth save and Butler grad Tyler Slepski picked up the win as Butler edged Quincy, 4-3, Thursday night.
Spangler struck out two in his only inning of work.

Butler (11-14) banged out nine hits as David Marcus went 2-for-4 for the BlueSox.
Marcus raised his team-leading batting average to .355.
Daniel Hrbek also doubled for Butler, which scored three runs in the top of the second inning and pushed across what would be the winning run in the top of the fifth.
Eli Martin worked a scoreless eighth inning and still has not given up an earned run in 10 1/3 innings of relief.
Butler, which is 3-1 on its current road trip, will send Seneca Valley grad Colin Coward to the hill to face Quincy tonight.
