BlueSox struggle in 7-3 loss
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Three early runs helped doom the Butler BlueSox in a 7-3 Prospect League baseball loss in Terre Haute Wednesday night.
Sox starter Ben Hartz allowed four runs, three of them coming in the second frame, and took the loss after striking out one and walking four in 3 2/3 innings. Reliever Jon Laird also struggled, giving up three runs in three innings.
Butler (10-14) scored all of its runs in the top of the eighth inning.
Second baseman Danny Hrbek had two hits and two runs batted in for the Sox, who managed just six hits.
