A crash that occurred at about 8 p.m. closed Route 228 near the Adams Fire District building for approximately 45 minutes, according to reports from county dispatch.

The road was closed shortly after the crash, in which a vehicle struck a barrier, in response to traffic issues and icy road conditions and was reopened shortly after 8:45 p.m.

At least one individual involved in the crash was transported to Allegheny General Hospital.
