You read what you want to
First of all, I never said that I work 60 hours/week, every week. I said when I have a deadline, I have to work as many hours as needed to get the job done. I have worked over 60 hours/week. That was in response to a whining teacher because she had to take some continuing education class - on top of her long 6 hour day/180 day year.
I also never complained about my job or my healthcare. I merely was comparing one profession to another.
Second, excuse me, but the US News and World Report rated CMU the 6th in Çomputer Engineering, and according to Lori, 9th in Business. You really are calling me on the carpet for saying it is one of the top schools because - in your mind - in the top 10 doesn't rate one of the top schools? I don't see Brown on the list anywhere..
C'mon, you just want to argue for sake of arguing. Next time, read the posts and argue based on what they say, not what you need them to say so you can argue..
You are right, oranges and apples when you compare US schools to international schools. You figure out why..
Dave,
We don't pay for cable tv, just highspeed internet. I was paying over $150.00/month with the highspeed internet, digital tv and zoom phone. I got sick of it, so we put up an antenna and hooked an old laptop to the TV, it's very easy. Sign up for Netflix for $10.00/month and you can watch almost anything you want on that or hulu. You won't find any cable or satellite service for just $10.00/month. We also dropped the VOIP and now only use our cellphones. We save $120.00/month now.
