Judi - The hospial employees are being asked to consider a VOLUNTARY contribution as part of a capital campaign being sponsored by the Butler Health System Foundation. Also being asked are the doctors, volunteers, board and administration, and the community at large. BC3 and the library, among others, have hosted very similay fund drives. In case you haven't noticed, BHS provides some of the best jobs around here, has maintained its independence, and treats its people quite well. It seems to me that asking to support one's employer AND the community's health care isn't such an unreasonable thing.
