Cathy Young

Cathy (Pritts) Young, loving mother, grandmother and sister, passed away on March 27, 2021, at the age of 64, surrounded by her family.

Cathy was born on Jan. 21, 1957, in Meyersdale, Pa., to Robert and Dorothy (Clark) Pritts.

She had a genuine love for life, for family and friends, and for her dogs.

She enjoyed listening to classic country and bluegrass music, and she loved her time on the beaches of the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

She was an auxiliary member of the American Legion for 40 years.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Bob; her mother, Dorothy; and her sister, Joyce.

She is survived by her sons, Shane Young and his wife, Danielle, and their daughter, Alexandra, and Brandon Young and his wife, Lake; her brother, Donald Pritts; and her sister, Barbara O’Barto and her husband, Richard.

She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Heather (Snyder) Parks and her daughter, Sierra, who she shared her final days with.

YOUNG — Friends and family of Cathy (Pritts) Young, who died Saturday, March 27, 2021, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Crestview Community Church, 210 Kline Ave., Callery.
