PITTSBURGH — A small-town mayor upset about the closing of a hospital in his community has been arrested at the hospital's corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh police say Braddock Mayor John Fetterman was charged Monday with defiant trespassing for refusing to leave the U.S. Steel Tower downtown.

The skyscraper houses the offices of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, which Fetterman has criticized for closing its money-losing hospital in Braddock.

The 41-year-old mayor tells KDKA-TV that he was arrested while carrying a sign asking UPMC to provide Braddock with an urgent-care facility while the old hospital is demolished.

PITTSBURGH — Police have identified a driver who was killed in a crash while he was being chased by police for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident.State police say 40-year-old Daniel Arch, of Baldwin, fled when police in Dormont arrived to investigate a two-vehicle crash about 12:30 a.m. Monday.State police are now investigating and say Arch lost control of his speeding van as he tried to merge onto Interstate 376 near the Fort Pitt Tunnel in Pittsburgh.

PITTSBURGH — The man who directed Pittsburgh's Andy Warhol Museum for 14 of its 16 years in existence is leaving.A museum news release Monday doesn't say why Tom Sokolowski is leaving. But Sokolowski tells the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, that sometimes “you have time and you have a few shekels in your bank account and you can breathe and see what (else) you want to do.”The release says Sokolowski will stay on through Dec. 31.
