Mildred Howryla
Mildred “Millie” Sebak Howryla passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021.
Millie had been a resident of Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople since 2005.
She was born in 1927 in Natrona, Pa., and also lived in Saxonburg and Butler.
During her life, she enjoyed sewing, bowling, dancing, reading and attending church.
Millie graduated from Har-Brack High School in Natrona Heights in 1946, and from The Robert Morris School in Pittsburgh in June of 1950.
She worked in Butler for May Sterns and Honse's before becoming a homemaker.
Millie was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony; her parents, Steve and Mary Sebak; two sisters, Sister M. (Margaret Sebak) Bernarda VSC, and Helen Sebak Lasko; and her husband of 52 years, Steve “Race” Howryla.
She is survived by five children, Mary Lou (Eric) Fowler and Kathleen Howryla Frampton, both of Slippery Rock, Robert (Tania Williams) Howryla of Reno, Nev., Judy (Bob) Petrick of Butler, and David (Gloria) Howryla of Las Vegas, Nev.; and her four grandchildren, Conor Frampton, Austin and Kelsey Howryla, and Ian Petrick.
HOWRYLA — A private blessing service for Mildred “Millie” Sebak Howryla, who died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, will be held at the funeral home.
Millie will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery in Butler.
Arrangements were entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
