Evans City business community aims to give back

The Evans City business community is preparing to give back this holiday season.

Dubbed the Evans City Community Christmas Trail, participating Evans City businesses are encouraging people to donate pet supplies to benefit the Butler County Humane Society. The collection will culminate with prize drawings during the borough’s Light Up Night on Saturday, Nov. 29.

Between now and Nov. 29, residents can drop off pet supplies at participating Evans City businesses. In return, they will be given a Trail Card they can then take to all the other participating businesses to get it validated.

Once validated, the card can be dropped off at any of those businesses and it will be entered into a prize drawing that will take place around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 29 at Evans City Fire Hall, 124 N. Jackson St., following Light Up Night activities, which include a visit from Santa Claus.

Prizes include baskets made by the participating businesses. Winners do not need to be present during the prize drawing.

Participating Evans City businesses include Weber Insurance Agency, Gospa Missions, Evans City Pharmacy & Gift Shoppe, Wendereusz’s Candy & More, Crabapple Hollow Village, P&B’s Sweets & Eats, Coffee Brake, Evans City Library and Webb Winery.
