Butler County cross country all-stars 2025: Here’s who was named runners of the year, first team, more

Butler’s Brendan Eicher (2715) was named one of three boys runners of the year by Butler County cross country coaches after winning the TSTCA championship and medaling in districts and states. Rob McGraw/Butler Eagle

Butler County cross country coaches had a difficult decision to make this year when picking the top boys runner of the 2025 season.

They choose to pick all three options, naming Butler’s Brendan Eicher, North Catholic’s Jack Steineman and Knoch’s Carter French the county’s boys runners of the year. They join the girls runner of the year, Mars’ Hailey Long, atop this year’s all-star cross country standouts.

The teams — which include for boys and girls a runner of the year, team of the year, coach of the year, first and second teams, and honorable mentions — are determined by Butler County coaches at the end of the season.
