Esther Louise Watson

Esther Louise Watson, 92, of Valley View Drive, formerly of Weckerly Road, Butler, passed away at 1:44 a.m. Friday in Sugar Creek Rest.

Born Nov. 5, 1917, in East Pike Run, Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Paul Everett Abercrombie and Agnes Dobby Spence.

Mrs. Watson was a homemaker and attended the North Street Christian Church.

She worked for 25 years at a small corner store on Wayne Street, which over the years went by the names Toners, Accords and Bartell.

Mrs. Watson is survived by three granddaughters, Pamela Weichey and her husband, Curt, of Butler, Patricia L. Sibble and her husband, Brian, of Butler, and Gail D. Hutzley and her husband, Steve, of Derry, N.H.; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and a former daughter-in-law Connie (Murphy) Catt of Port Huron, Mich.

She also is survived by her dear friend, Judy Grenet of 53 years, as well as many other lifelong friends.

Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Watson, who passed away May 4, 1994; a son, Robert P. Watson; a sister, Mrs. Bernice Huber; and three brothers, Paul Abercrombie, Leon Abercrombie and Wilbur Abercrombie.

<B>WATSON</B> — Friends of Esther Louise Watson, who died Friday, June 11, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Huber and Pastor Jeff Miller of North Street Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
