Ella Marie May
Ella Marie May, 95, of Butler died early Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born in West Kittanning on Oct. 3, 1916, a daughter of Thomas and Ida Rebecca Painter Quinn.
Ella was a member of the Tanglewood Center, and she loved to play cards and to work crossword puzzles.
She was the widow of Joseph B. May Jr. They married June 12, 1945, and he died on Dec. 20, 1987. She also was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by two children and their spouses, Joseph B. May III (Mickey) of Mechanicsburg and Dolores “Lori” Wittmer (Paul) of Butler; three grandchildren, Alyssa Wittmer and her fiance, Brian Vickers, of Norwalk, Conn., Seanna May Robinson (Eric) of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Joseph B. May IV (Marisssa) of Boston, Mass.; one great-grandson, Joseph B. May, V; one brother, Frederick D. Quinn (Ruth) of Kittanning; and numerous nieces and nephews.
<B>MAY — </B>Friends of Ella Marie May, who died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. James Murphy, pastor of St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Meridian, will officiate.
