Violet E. Weitzel
Violet E. Weitzel, 80, of Butler died at 10 a.m. Monday at her home.
Born Sept. 1, 1927, in Butler County, she was the daughter of George and Hilda Smith Holt.
She was member of the Butler Assembly of God Church and enjoyed gardening, sewing and being with her family.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Braden L. Weitzel; three daughters, Mrs. Jan (Mary Ellen) Urban, Mrs. Michael (Bradene) Kaltenbach and Rae Weitzel, all of Butler; a son, Braden L. Weitzel II and his wife, Lori, of Butler; seven grandchildren, Klaressa, Todd, Braden, Garrett, Jacob, Faith and Evan; and two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Mary Beth.
She also is survived by two sisters, Jessie Holt-Mounts and Mrs. Lawrence (Laura) Bloom, both of Butler; and two brothers, Thomas Holt and his wife, Maxine, of Butler and Mack Holt of Hadden, Conn.
She was preceded in death by two infant sons, five brothers and two sisters.

Weitzel, who died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Butler Assembly of God, Route 422, Mount Chestnut, with Pastor George Miller officiating.
